Ahh, my first ever festival, if only for one day. I felt that I didn't want to be like everyone else and go to Reading, so I went to Leeds instead. Actually, I was forbidden from going to Reading, so in the end it had to be Leeds.

Leeds was bloody great though. Enjoy the pictures and reviews of the bands and the whole festival.

Bands

  1. Cave In - Really good, although what was the point of putting them on at midday?
  2. Junior Senior - Hell Yeh! This is what i'm talking about! They were pretty good from what I saw of them. That fat guy is really gay though.
  3. Jet - Pretty damned good to be fair to them. Can't remember what they played though.
  4. The Revs - Only heard the start of one song, but it sounded quite rocking. Should've stayed around longer.
  5. The Rapture - By far the best band of the day. The whole Radio 1 tent was at least tapping their feet. They Rock!
  6. The Streets - Skinnnnnner! Yep, he was dissapointingly crap. Bless him, his voice was wrecked, so you couldn't expect anything good from him. Calv was good though.
  7. Doves - I didn't really expect to like them, but they were really good. Satellites at the end finished off a perfect set. There Goes The Fear was also superb.
  8. Beck - Superb. The little man of rock was just incredible. Mixed Bizness, Devils Haircut and New Pollution plus a load of stuff i've never heard of. Full marks to his keyboard on wheels though. Funniest thing I saw all day.
  9. Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Another surprisngly good set. Left alone with the two Chris', it was good to enjoy BRMC without my sister shaking her head in disbelief. Stop, Whatever Happened To My Rock N Roll and Spread Your Love were all superb, and their cover of The White Stripes' The Hardest Button To Button was also really cool.
  10. Blur - Although I only caught a glimpse of ol' Damon himself, I listened to about a quarter of the set. Highlight was Tender. Quite cool to hear the huge crowd sing along.
